Asian countries have the art of eating noodles alone down pat, and what does the job better than ramen? I stopped by this Hinodeya location unexpectedly before an event, and within thirty minutes I was in and out. This restaurant location is on the smaller side with tables packed very closely together, which I didn't really mind. Walking in solo without a reservation during prime dinner time led me to be seated right away without a wait. As with all the Hinodeya locations, ordering your full meal via QR code is convenient and efficient. Service was super fast and friendly! I had my go-to spicy miso ramen, which I like because it's a no-fuss type of simple but delicious ramen. All the ingredients were of high quality: the noodles were perfectly "al dente," the soup base was mildly spicy and fairly creamy, and the pork slices were slightly too fatty for my liking. Overall, this is the winning dish on the menu in my opinion; best to pair it with a light Sapporo beer to balance out the umami flavor and heaviness of the ramen.

Visited Hinodeya on a busy weekend and was happy to see that despite the long queue, we were seated fairly quickly and the service was good too. My partner and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen, Creamy Vegan Ramen, and the Ube drink. The spice levels are slightly confusing as they go all the way from 1 to 10 and it's hard to put a marker on what they might represent. Our server had an appetite for spicy food and recommended getting a level 10! I got 5 while my partner got 6. We weren't too happy with the spice levels as it didn't match our expectations for how spicy it would be and we required chilli oil. It really helped bring out the other flavours too but would've surely tasted better had we picked a different level and the spice had been cooked in. The Ube drink was refreshing and had jelly crystals that added texture to it. As individuals who love trying ramen everywhere we go, we liked adding this to our list too. Would recommend the restaurant to have a guide for how spicy each level would be, so that it's easier to decide which one to get. Also, while the ambiance was nice and felt authentic, the seating was a little too close and it was hard to maneuver. Lastly, if you like the food, ring the bell on your way out to let the chef know!

Grateful for a late night ramen spot in the city like Hinodeya. It's a pretty small location since it's located near Union Square. There's nothinf better than a warm bowl of ramen to enjoy after a concert ends at 11pm, when you've been starving yourself because you refuse to pay arena concessions prices. Their menu and ordering system requires scanning your table's QR code. Super easy to take your time browsing the yummy options and ordering whenever you're ready without having to wait for someone. Also makes it easy to pay for your own food if you're eating with a group of friends. Although the ramen wasn't my favorite I've had, it's the best food option I could've found on a Sunday night so I have no complaints. The broth was flavorful and complimented the noodles nicely. The chicken karaage was perfectly fried. Since I came here so late I'm not sure how service is like when it's busier. Everyone got their food pretty quickly after ordering.

A bowl of ramen is a good way to welcome typical San Francisco Summer weather . This is the spot to get late night Ramen around Union Square in San Francisco. Hinodeya has the good vibes inside and closes at 1:30am. Since I was in the house, I had to try the Hinodeya house ramen with wheat noodles. The ramen broth was tasty and it had a soft boiled egg. I was then surrounded by the sound of people slurping ramen noodles. It was almost music to my ears as the Taiko drum vibration was added to the mix. They also serve beverages like Mio( Sparkling Sake) and the traditional tapas like Edamame. Come here for the food with a good vibe, Hinodeya been serving ramen worldwide since the year 1885
